Greater Richmond League of Therapists (GRLT)

Gene Cash, MSW, M.Ed, LCSW, LISW-S, LICDC is the Director of the Greater Richmond League of Therapists. Gene joined the League in 2008 after 13 years as Clinical Therapist and Clinical Supervisor at a Community Correctional Treatment Facility and Community Based Aftercare program run by the state of Ohio. In that role, he implemented structural family therapy to an extremely high-risk population -- juvenile delinquents and their families. For more than a decade, Gene has been an outpatient clinician serving clients suffering from varying mental health disorders, substance abuse, and juveniles who sexually act out. Gene continues to offer supervision to developing clinicians, co-facilitates group therapy, case consultations, and is a Therapeutic Options of Virginia trainer. Gene's specialty is identifying irresponsible thinking processes that lead to unhealthy behaviors and relationships, and intervening to help clients correct their thinking errors and lead healthier lifestyles.
